About this map: The Normal Precipitation map shows the average of all recorded daily precipitation totals between 1971 and 2000 at each official cooperative reporting stations. Daily precipitation normals are not necessarily daily averages, but rather the monthly precipitation averages appropriately distributed based on the total days for that month. This is a general overview of what to expect for a certain date, month or year for any given location, but actual observations can vary greatly and are highly based on dominant weather patterns.
